I’m Chris McCarty, an Emmy Award-winning Creative & Art Director with over two decades of experience shaping visual identities, motion graphics, and integrated brand storytelling. I bridge creative strategy and technical execution—leading teams while diving hands-on into design, animation, and post-production.
Through my time at Fox Television Stations and Spectrum News, I’ve led and mentored teams of up to 24 artists and animators, delivering high-impact work across broadcast, digital, print, and experiential mediums. From award-winning projects—like the Spectrum Sports High School Football rebrand—to immersive on-air campaigns for major networks and multi-platform initiatives for major brands, my goal has always been to craft visuals that resonate and perform.
I thrive on pushing creative boundaries—whether that’s experimenting with narrative-driven motion design, scripting dynamic broadcast graphics in Chyron/VizRT, or evolving brand systems across media channels.
I believe great design emerges from:
A collaborative environment built on trust, curiosity, and shared creative direction.
Embracing experimentation—letting ideas evolve until they feel both unexpected and inevitable.
Focusing on impact—design that moves audiences emotionally and strategically.
Why I care:
Every project is an opportunity to tell a story—whether it’s elevating a local team’s identity or refreshing a national brand’s presence. I take pride in knowing that thoughtful design can shift perceptions, influence engagement, and connect with people on a meaningful level.
If you're seeking a creative leader who balances vision and execution—with real-world experience in branding, broadcast, motion, and team leadership—I’d love to connect.
