HELLO, I AM CHRIS MCCARTY!
Chris McCarty, also known as McChris, is an art director, multidisciplinary designer, a filmmaker, and a brand strategist who can effectively leverage art combined with a purposeful creative vision as a tool to spark an emotional connection to tell a story. He believes the experimental process yields a powerful result and embraces the use of technology and design to tell compelling stories. Every aspect of artful conception ties into effectively being able to tell a story.
He believes in breaking the established rules of design in order to establish new ones. Followers follow rules. Pioneers establish the rules everyone else wants to follow. At the end of the day, it’s about the story being told and brand being established. If Chris needs to turn a camera upside down or break the rules of cinematography in order to capture something compelling, damn right he will do so!
Chris is not afraid of failure and learns from what isn’t working, which is a key ingredient on the path to innovation.
Over the course of his career, Chris has developed trust in his instincts. But that doesn’t mean he thinks his opinions matter more than others. He’s fiercely committed to being absolutely honest with his associates, but he’s also mindful of staying humble, a big part of being a great collaborator. Chris does not believe in egos and has built a network of success centered around being kind and pragmatic to establish efficiency.
Chris has many years of experience leading a creative team as well as working within a team and is all about collaborating with talented creatives alike. Having a background and Art School Degree in Design allows him to solve problems from a practical, hands on perspective. Seeing a project through from conception to the finished product really gives him a sense of accomplishment.
Every project he has worked on has taught him something new, and that’s why he values each one. He is looking forward to helping shape your next story.
